These are the best ways to get to our Lodge from various locations in the Northeast  USA.  Many computerized map programs will try to route you some other way to get to us which will add unnecessary time and frustration to your trip.  Follow the directions below for the quickest and easiest  routes.

New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore & Washington, DC areas:

> Get to Interstate 81 North and travel up through Syracuse, NY and Watertown, NY and finally to the Canadian border at the 1000 Islands.

> After passing through Canadian customs, you will head north across the bridge and continue until you see the signs for Hwy 401 East (towards Brockville and Ottawa).

> Take Hwy 401 East until you see the signs for Hwy 416 and follow the signs for 416 North (towards Ottawa).

> Follow Hwy 416 until you see the signs for Hwy 417  and follow the signs for Hwy 417 west (towards Kanata and Pembroke).  Hwy 416 ends at Hwy 417, so you don't have to worry about missing this turn.

> Hwy 417 will turn into Hwy 17 (four lanes down to two).  Keep following Hwy 17 until you get to our local Town of Deep River (about 80 miles from Arnprior).  You will pass through Renfrew, Pembroke, Petawawa and Chalk River on this stretch.

> Our turn off is three and a half miles past Deep River on the left hand side called Bass Lake Road.  There is a passing lane about a mile outside of Deep River and our road is about 400 yards past the end of the passing lanes.

> The lodge is located at the end of Bass Lake Road, about two and a half miles off the highway.  The road is paved for the first mile and gravel after that.  At the end of the road you will see our big K/O Lodge sign and our laneway on the right.  Once on the Bass Lake road you will naturally end up at the lodge, there really is no place else to go.

Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo areas:

>  This route crosses at Buffalo, NY at the Peace Bridge and picks up the QEW on the Canadian Side. (QEW is a highway name and stands for Queen Elizabeth Way).  To get to the Peace Bridge, take I-190 off the throughway (I-90) and just follow the signs for bridge to Canada.

>  Once in Canada, follow the QEW until you cross the big bridge at Hamilton where you will merge and follow the 403 East.  You will then take the 427 North to the 401 East and finally the 400 North.  When you cross the bridge at Hamilton you may take the 407 ETR which is an electronic Toll Route.  Your rear license plate must be visible and it will cost about $15.00 and you'll get a bill in the mail.   This will bypass the 403, 427 and the 401.   PLEASE NOTE: If you are traveling in an RV, do not use the 427 ETR as an RV is classed as a commercial vehicle and must  have a transponder.

> Near Barrie you will take Highway 11 towards North Bay.

> At North Bay you will take Hwy 17 (East toward Pembroke and Ottawa) for about 100 miles.  About seven miles after passing through Rolphton, you will see the Town offices, fire hall and garage for Laurentian Hills on the right.  Our road is the Bass Lake road on the right about a quarter of a mile past the township offices.
